ministries Grace Vancouver Church supports

We are proud to have close relationships with these ministries.

Please consider partnering with the good work that they are doing.

  • Journey Home community

Journey Home Community (JHC) is a Christian non-profit organization that exists to welcome refugees into our communities by offering housing, settlement support, and relational care. They help refugee families with transitional houses in Burnaby and New Westminster.

JHC offers a unique approach of holistic care to their work with refugees and aims to connect them to opportunities to access supportive communities that are vital to the refugees' long-term health and integration. There are many ways that our church has helped in serving refugee families -- from making dinner at community dinners to supporting individual families through building relationships and providing practical help.

  • Prayer Current is training and equipping individuals, ministry leaders and church groups around the world to develop a Kingdom centered prayer life. Prayer Current was birthed out of Grace Vancouver Church and is coordinated by several of our members and our founding pastor, John Smed.

  • Dalit Children are part of the 250 million people known in India as the untouchables. They are deemed less than human with no value and represent the lowest class of society.

Dalit Freedom Network (DFN) exists to end the modern slavery, exploitation and poverty of the Dalit people in India through access to education and health care, economic development, and advocacy and social justice.

Grace Vancouver Church has been supporting DFN for some time now as a community. Please prayerfully consider supporting this ministry as you participate in God’s redemptive work in the world.  Sponsoring a Child is one of many recommended ways to participate with the work DFN is doing ($25 a month covers a child's education).
